The Old Sawmill was a mid-Victorian water-powered sawmill converted from an earlier bobbin mill in 1870 for the Ingleborough Estate, and also used for hydro-electric power generation from 1890. More recently, the downstairs of the building has provided storage for paraphernalia required on a rural estate, such as tools, machinery, fencing, piping and drainage equipment, whilst the upstairs was used as a joinery workshop.
Once open, expect great coffee, delicious tray bakes, and a small menu consisting of basic dishes done well. Our picturesque garden will provide outdoor seating for those wishing to enjoy the famous Yorkshire weather, and a large upstairs room will be available for hire.
